big lunch at the wake; prayers; socks; placed flowers in the coffin; final praying session at the wake; walked a distance on the road; funeral mass in church; final look of grandma & gdbye to her at mandai crematorium.
For the 5 days, we served, we prayed, we ate, we chatted, we laughed and of course, we cried badly esp. at the Mandai Crematorium. Almost everyone was emotional. It was hard to say out the prayers while crying as the coffin was slowly sent into the incinerator; right in front of our eyes as we stood at the viewing gallery. It was an indescriblable feeling. The whole gallery was just filled with our cries and sadness...
Although now grandma is not physically present with us, but I believe that she will always be watching over us whenever and wherever we are. 120 consecutive days of masses are offered for her; for the repose of her soul, that God may show mercy on her and forgive all her sins. May God bless her on her journey into eternal life in his heavenly kingdom.
